We want you to know that your health and safety is our utmost priority.

In light of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and in an effort to protect the health and safety of our
patients and their families as well as our providers, staff and their families, we are pleased to announce
Arizona Family Care is offering Telemedicine services for many of our routine patient visits over the next
few months. Having a “virtual” visit will allow you to have a face-to-face discussion with your physician
or physician assistant from the comfort of your home or workplace. Our goal is to allow you to maintain
social distancing and reduce your risk of exposure in this difficult time. Technology requirements are
straight forward, you will need to have a cell phone or computer with a camera and microphone. If you
have a fever, cough or sore throat, do not come to the office. We can address your concerns via

Should you choose to have a telemedicine visit, you will receive an e-mail/phone call from our office in
advance of your appointment with detailed instructions, including a link to login to your appointment.
Many insurance plans do not require any out of pocket cost for telemedicine from you during this
pandemic. Schedule your appointment today.


1. Please ensure you have a smart phone or computer with a camera and microphone.
2. Test your Wifi to make sure that you have a strong signal.
3. If you have a home blood pressure cuff, check your blood pressure and pulse prior to your visit.
Write them down.
4. If you have a scale at home, please weigh yourself and write down the number. Provide weight,
blood pressure and pulse when we call you.
5. Please gather your medication bottle(s) and note which medication(s) need refills. Write these
names down on the same piece of paper.
6. Please find a well-lit, quiet place indoors to complete your call. Do not sit with a window directly
behind you.
7. Log into the virtual waiting room with the link provided to you 15 minutes prior to your
appointment time.

Meet Our Team

  • Dr. Bonnie McDonald Watson

    Dr. Bonnie McDonald Watson, DO, co-owner of Arizona Family Care, PLLC, earned her BS in Biology from Grand Canyon University, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 1997. This was followed by her medical degree from Midwestern University, Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2002.  She completed her internship and Family Medicine residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center and was nominated as Arizona’s Outstanding Second-Year Family Practice Resident during her tenure at St. Joseph’s Hospital.  She is a diplomat with the American Board of Family Medicine since 2004.  She is Chair of the Family Practice Department and is an active member of Medical Executive Committee at Arrowhead Hospital.  She previously held leadership roles on the Physician Leadership Counsel, Credential Committee and was Vice Chair of the Family Practice Department.  She enjoys all aspects of medicine, caring for the young as well as the aging population.  When not caring for patients, Dr. McDonald Watson enjoys the beach, hiking, fishing running and spending time with family and friends.

  • Dr. Heidi Banister

    Dr. Heidi Banister, MD, co-owner of Arizona Family Care, PLLC, grew up in the Seattle, Washington area.  She obtained her undergraduate degree in Microbiology at Washington State University.  She spent a few years working in the bio-medical field.  She then went on to Pennsylvania State University for medical school and completed her residency at St. Joseph's here in Phoenix, Arizona.  She participated on the Physicians Leadership Counsel.  She is currently Chair of the Family Practice Department and is an active participant of the Credentialing Committee at Arrowhead Hospital.  Her special interests are pediatric medicine, preventative medicine for all ages and being an active athlete herself, an interest in sports medicine.  She has been board-certified in Family Medicine since 2002.  In her spare time she likes to hike and spend time with her family and pets.

  • Diana Stan

    Diana Stan, PA-C, is a Glendale, Arizona local who graduated from Ironwood High School. She earned her BS in Physiology from the University of Arizona. During her time at the University of Arizona, she also worked in a microbiology research lab. Diana worked as a PCT and scribe in the Emergency Department before pursuing her PA training. She attended Marshall B. Ketchum Physician Assistant School in Fullerton, California and graduated in 2016 as part of the inaugural class with a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She enjoys all aspects of family medicine, but especially enjoys women's health and preventative medicine. Diana is a wife and a mother of two energetic boys. Diana's favorite things outside of medicine are spending time with her family, being active in her church, watching various sporting events, and visiting Disneyland!

    Nicole Cascella (Lyon), PA-C, Nicole Cascella is Arizona raised and grew up in Prescott, AZ.  She earned her BS in Biomedical Science from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ.  During her time in Flagstaff, she also helped referee for NAU volleyball games and was part of CHI Omega sorority. In order to work towards her admission of PA school, she volunteered in the FMC ICU and worked as a CNA at The Peaks Skilled Nursing Facility. In 2017 she started her PA training at the University of Saint Joseph in West Harford, Connecticut. She graduated as part of the inaugural class of 2019, earning her MS in Physician Assistant Studies and earned a spot as part of the Pi Alpha Honor Society.  She is currently ACLS and PALS certified and a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She enjoys all aspect of medicine for all ages, especially preventative medicine.  In her spare time, she likes spending time with her husband, running, hiking and cooking.
